The work location for this position is at Transitions Services on the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center campus for Forensics Services
The Registered Nurse Supervisor will provide supervision in the coordination and delivery of nursing care provided to patients in Forensic Nursing Services.
Serving as a leader and resource person for nursing staff and other employees
Using nursing process as a guideline to ensure that nursing staff are providing an appropriate level of skilled clinical nursing care
Participating in establishing and coordinating the implementation of the mission, philosophy, goals, objectives, standards of practice, care and performance for nursing care within Forensic Nursing Services
Acting as a liaison between other departments within the facility
Participating in maintaining adequate staffing levels in Forensic Nursing Services
Acting as a back up to the Registered Nurse Administrative Supervisor (RNAS)
Current licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse AND
Bachelors of Nursing degree plus 3 years Registered Nurse experience, 2 of which much be as a charge Registered Nurse OR
Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing plus 4 years of Registered Nurse experience, 2 of which must be as a charge Registered Nurse
