The Nurse Practitioner is responsible to provide timely and comprehensive health evaluations, follow up care and referrals for the US Program. Ensures delivery of comprehensive health care in accordance with the philosophy, standards of practice, objectives and policies of Medical Services and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
Master’s level education in a health-related profession; licensure as a nurse practitioner.
Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
Pediatric, psychiatric or emergency experience.
Excellent communicator with good writing skills.
Ability to organize large amounts of data, interpret data for agency staff and write cogently regarding the data (e.g., statistical reports, Quality Improvement projects, policies and procedures)
Ability to communicate with others to further the goals of the Department and the Agency
Ability to work collaboratively with others including peers, staff, residents, families, vendors, support agencies and others.
Excellent critical and analytical skills
Excellent computer skills
Ability to evaluate/interpret information and make independent judgments/decisions.
Position is located in Dobbs Ferry (Westchester County), NY. We are located five minutes from the North Bronx/30 minutes from Grand Central. We provide a free shuttle van from the Dobbs Ferry Train Station to the agency.
