The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for faculty positions with interest and expertise in the areas of medical-surgical, pediatrics/medical-surgical, obstetrics/medical-surgical, and community health/medical-surgical nursing.
Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching and evaluating theory, lab and/or clinical courses that may include classroom/didactic, lab and clinical instruction in face-to-face courses.
This position may also involve the direct supervision of precepted experience of students in clinical settings. Preference will be given to applicants with recent clinical and teaching experience.
Tenure-track positions require a doctorate in nursing or related field, from an appropriately accredited institution.
Non-tenure requires a Master's degree from an appropriately accredited institution in nursing.
A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.
Two years of clinical nursing experience is required.
Preferred Education and Experience
A PhD in Nursing is preferred or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing.
Teaching experience and national specialty certification is preferred.
