The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System is seeking a Senior Director, Hospital Transplant Services.
The Senior Director provides clinical and administrative leadership to all the solid organ transplant programs, the bone marrow transplant program and the islet cell transplantation initiative. The selected individual will be responsible for the clinical operations and the quality of care provided by the transplant programs including the Transplant Clinic. The Senior Director, Hospital Transplant Services is responsible for the full continuum of care encompassing the pre, peri and post- transplant episodes of care. The senior director is charged with enhancing the value of all transplant services by increasing quality, constructing efficient care delivery models, improving patient satisfaction. The selected candidate will achieve and sustain the highest quality outcomes for our patients and center of excellence designations.
A Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration (MPH, MHA) or MBA is required.
Registered Nursing license in the state of Illinois is preferred.
Solid knowledge of the transplant process. Knowledge of budget planning and fiscal analysis.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in transplant services within a healthcare environment. At least 2 years' experience in critical care, management of personnel, payroll, budgets, capital, business planning, marketing, physician relations, and management of supervisory positions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism and competence in dealing with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, administration and financial staff. Ability to develop and manage clinical operations, strategic planning, operational improvement, compliance, marketing and community relations, supervision and management of a multi-organ transplant program.
