A full-time faculty member is responsible for teaching in the subject area or areas that correspond to his or her area of specialty. As part of the job, it is expected that he or she can plan, organize and teach in a manner that insures the achievement of the institution’s learning objectives. A full-time faculty member contributes to the academic process of the institution through the participation in the development of curricula, evaluation, research, community service, advancement of the institution, and the academic growth of the students in the Department of Nursing and Allied Health, School of Health Sciences.
Earned graduate or doctoral degree in the area of discipline or academic specialty from an accredited university or an internationally recognized institution of higher education.
At least three (3) years of professional experience.
Proven leadership skills from previous work experience.
Hold a current license as ARNP by NCLEX examination.
Experience as a successful professor in the area of competency and/or discipline.
Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (oral and written).
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Knowledge and experience in technical applications
Hold current certifications in specialty areas as required by the profession.
