TTUHSC El Paso’s Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON) is accepting applications and nominations for an innovative nurse educator with enthusiasm for undergraduate education to join the senior leadership team. Building on a strong foundation, the Associate Dean will provide leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of all academic programs.
As a CCNE-accredited up-and-coming school, GGHSON is built on a strong foundation grounded in the tradition of the Texas Tech University System and embraces the changing landscape of nursing education. The school’s unique location provides the opportunity for border health and patient care scholarship as a model site reflecting forecasted demographic trends in the U.S. The Associate Dean will enjoy strong administrative staff support and resources to support administrative efforts. The school offers a BSN, accelerated BSN, and MSN programs with current enrollment of 295 students. The GGHSON is housed in a new 34,000 sq. ft. building featuring state-of-the-art technology and design with ample office, classroom, and collaborative learning spaces.

Ph.D. or E.D. in Nursing or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution
Texas state nursing license or eligibility for Texas state licensure as a registered nurse
Qualifications for faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or higher
Three (3) years of teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs
Academic leadership experience as a department chair, associate dean, or assistant dean in a nursing school or health sciences center
