Our Nurse Practitioner Faculty Practice, ColumbiaDoctors|Primary Care, Nurse Practitioner Group, is currently searching for a part-time highly-motivated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join the team. This integrated primary care practice will serve the physical and mental health care needs of the Washington Heights and Midtown Manhattan communities.
The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the practice will provide cognitive behavior therapy and medication management for patients in outpatient setting. She/He will have clinical and admitting privileges at NewYork-Presbyterian hospital. Our nurse practitioners are committed to their patients' physical and mental health, specializing in primary care and targeted, individualized disease prevention and health promotion. Our NPs work in partnership with more than 1,200 providers at ColumbiaDoctors, the multi-specialty faculty practice organization of Columbia University Medical Center.
Columbia University offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and credentials. This is a part-time faculty position. Some evenings and weekend hours may be required.
Minimum Degree Required:
MS in Nursing, DNP Preferred
The successful candidate will have an MS in Nursing with national board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), plus a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an outpatient setting.
Excellent oral & written communication skills, strong analytical abilities, an ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment, and critical thinking skills are required. Experience using an electronic health record is required.
New York State Registered Nurse and Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner Licenses required.
DEA certificate required.
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking and experience working with the adult LGBTQ population preferred.
