The University of Akron School of Nursing is seeking to hire a qualified, nationally certified, and state registered FPMH NP to coordinate and teach graduate level courses in the FPMH NP track. In addition, this faculty member will manage clinical placements and participate in curriculum design, curriculum and program assessment and student recruitment. This faculty member will be registered as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Ohio and maintain ANCC certification in FPMH NP. The applicant must have good interpersonal, nursing and teaching skills. This is a full time, 9-month non-tenure track position, beginning Fall 2020, as an Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Master of Science in Nursing; ANCC National Certification as FPMH NP.
State of Ohio licensures as RN and APRN.
Three (3) years of experience working as a FPMH Nurse Practitioner.
Two (2) years of experience teaching in Higher Education.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Five (5) years of experience working as a FPMH NP.
Two (2) years of experience teaching in a Higher Education in a Nurse Practitioner program.
