Responsible for accurately scheduling surgical and diagnostic procedures. Conducts physician office/patient interviews, and explains hospital procedure guidelines and policies.Coordinates with clinical departments on schedule modifications.
Responsible for prep instructions and notification to the patient, physician or physician staff of the correct arrival place and time and account numbers when applicable.This position requires the individual to interact with physician offices, patients and most hospital departments.
High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Some college coursework is preferred.
1. Prefer 2-5 years administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area.
Basic typing skills preferred.
Course in Medical Terminology preferred.
