Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
This position requires an unencumbered Oregon Registered Nursing License or the ability to acquire an Oregon Registered Nursing License within the first three months of employment.

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Adolescent, Genetic and Reproductive Health (AGRH) Section, Oregon Reproductive Health (RH) Program in Portland, OR is recruiting for a Reproductive Health Nurse Consultant to provide expert consultation and technical assistance for the Oregon Reproductive Health Program. The RH Program is dedicated to ensuring people in Oregon have access to high-quality reproductive and sexual health services, knowledge, and resources through partnerships with clinics, community organizations, and policy makers. The RH Program provides program planning, policy development, guidance, organization, support, and implementation for activities and projects related to ensuring that every person in Oregon has reproductive autonomy.
What will you do? As the Reproductive Health Nurse Consultant, you will provide clinical leadership related to reproductive health to assure the provision of high-quality reproductive health care among certified clinics across the state. You will provide clinical and programmatic support to the Reproductive Health Program team by developing and maintaining clinical protocols, analyzing clinical data, participating in program planning, etc. You will also work collaboratively with the Reproductive Health Program team to assess the education, training, and technical support needs of clinics serving diverse communities, and identify innovative approaches to meeting these needs, particularly as they relate to current challenges in the delivery of healthcare. This position supports clinics across the state that primarily serve low-income communities, youth, rural and frontier communities, LGBTQ+ communities, and Black, Indigenous, Tribal communities, and communities of color. In this role you will need to be culturally responsive, creative, and client centered. You will also be responsible for assuring compliance with RH Program requirements through a variety of monitoring and review activities, including remote and onsite clinical reviews.

What are we looking for?
Minimum requirements: a bachelor's degree in nursing and five years of recent (within the last ten years) reproductive health nursing experience, which includes two years of nurse supervising, administrative or teaching experience, or a master's degree in nursing and four years of recent (within the last ten years) reproductive health nursing experience, which includes two years of nurse supervising, administrative, or teaching experience OR
A current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nursing License or the ability to obtain an Oregon Registered Nursing License within the first three months of employment.
Bi-lingual and bi-cultural preferred, with the opportunity for a pay differential.
Understanding of the complexities that make it difficult for communities of color to access reproductive health services.
Experience developing and writing policies, procedures, and protocols for the delivery of reproductive health services in safety-net clinics.
Experience training and educating providers on the provision of high-quality, client-centered reproductive health care, including contraceptive management and counseling; pregnancy options counseling, including abortion; STI/HIV testing, counseling, and management; cultural and linguistic responsiveness; and, preventive health screenings.
Experience working with diverse populations, such as immigrant, refugee, tribal, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ communities within Oregon.
Experience promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
