As the face of women's health and nursing care, the Director will play a prominent role in developing a compelling vision for clinical services within the Nursing Division and Women’s Services units. This is an opportunity to develop an infrastructure to support the Division that will be recognized regionally and nationally as an innovative market leader for providing comprehensive and high-quality women’s services, clinical nursing services, and cutting-edge clinical research.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director will have responsibility for leading, planning, and coordinating divisional/departmental growth, quality/patient safety, customer service, physician and nursing integration, and consistency for the delivery of nursing women’s services throughout UTSW. Additionally, this Director will collaborate with key constituencies throughout UTSW and its clinical partners to expand clinical trials, advance clinical, and to develop dashboards that measure financial performance, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. The Director will also lead efforts to promote awareness of the Division and its practice within the community and gain market share for cancer services. In fact, the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center was designated by the National Cancer Institute in 2015 as a comprehensive center.

UTSW Nurse Residency Program is accredited, with Distinction, as an ANCC Practice Transition Program.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. Master’s preferred.
3-5 years progressive management/leadership experience.
Current State of Texas Registered Nurse License (or BNE Compact State License); BCLS required.
A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA). Professional certifications preferred.
