The Registered Nurse 1 East, CLC and Inpatient Acute develops the initial nursing plan of care and updates the plan using realistic, measurable health goals and discharge planning. Safely administers medications. Documents in Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) appropriately, accurately and concisely. Demonstrates understanding of patients' rights. Utilizes information management technologies in appropriate manner, safeguarding security and confidentiality of data/information. Proficient and demonstrates competency and the ability to either set up or reprocess RME as applicable for all equipment of which has been trained. Fulfills mandatory education requirements. Maintains mandatory licensure, certification, and competency standards. Effective communication with patient/family regarding their illness and treatment recommendations. Provides flexibility pertaining to improved teamwork. Understands and applies critical policies and procedures to nursing practice. Utilizes evidence-based nursing practice for chronic diseases, such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes. Is knowledgeable of and practices standard of nursing care for infectious diseases. Has basic knowledge of and practices standard of nursing care for alcohol detoxification. Ability to care for residents with behaviors and/or frequent cognitive changes. Demonstrates knowledge to prevent and manage skin integrity issues. Demonstrates the ability to care for residents with deteriorating physical status thus requiring increased assistance from staff.
