The University of North Florida is seeking interested candidates for the full-time position of Director of the School of Nursing at Brooks College of Health. The applicant needs to be a dynamic person capable of meeting the challenging demands of a large, diverse nursing program. this includes knowledge of both under graduate graduate programs. The successful candidate will: actively contribute to the professional life of the School of Nursing, the Brooks College of Health and UNF; develop creative means to meet the growing demands of the programs and community; recruit, hire, manage, evaluate, and retain diverse, qualified faculty and staff; perform tenure appraisals and annual evaluation as appropriate on all faculty and Staff; develop and market quality programs; maintain and improve the quality of teaching, research and service; develop and implement curriculum evaluation; establish fiscal priorities and manage various budgets and facilities; maintain accreditation standards for a variety of nursing programs; teach courses as appropriate.
Graduate Degree; Terminal degree in Nursing or related area; National certification in Nursing; Five or more years combined teaching and leadership experience in an accredited department/school/college of Nursing; proven ability to secure external funding; demonstrated experience in distance and/or hybrid education; appointable as associate/full professor with eligibility for graduate faculty state in the state university system (SUS) record of published work in refereed journals.
