The position is located in the Fleet Medicine Directorate, Branch Health Clinics at Navy Medicine Training and Readiness Command Great Lakes (NMRTC) The position is assigned responsibility for the provision and coordination of all services required for active duty military service members, using a multi-disciplinary team approach to assure quality, comprehensive, cost-effective care. The RN is accountable for adhering to established policies, standards of care, and standards of practice, demonstrating leadership in service as a role model when assigned as a team nurse under the supervision of the Division Officer/Nurse Manager, or designee. The nurse will be responsive to customer needs, ensuring customer satisfaction, which reflects an understanding of age specific and developmental needs as demonstrated by fulfilling the following: Assist primary care staff with routine and timely completion of care for adult ambulatory care patients within any division under the cognizance of their assigned Fleet Medicine Clinic. Plans for personal growth as related to professional goals based on self-assessment, evaluation, and feedback. Actively participates in professional organizations Demonstrates ability to work and communicate effectively with all internal and external customers. Actively participating in and initiating improvement projects, implementing action plans to improve care, and verifying that the process and outcomes are in place using approved mechanisms and procedures. Participate in staff orientation and training. Applies current concepts and findings from research and/ or studies to practice.
