The position described is that of a Registered Primary Care Nurse Manager in the Nursing-Primary Care (RN) Service Line Located in Pickens County (Jasper, GA). The RN must possess a broad-based clinical knowledge to effectively implement health promotion, prevention, management of acute and chronic illness. The Pickens County CBOC Primary Care Nurse Manager is be responsible for supervision of Primary Care Nursing employees including RN Care Managers, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Health Technicians (lab/optometry/phlebotomy.) The Primary Care onsite nurse manager is critical in ensuring that daily operations continue seamlessly. The Primary Care clinic nurse manager is responsible for Primary Care nurse staffing and competencies, environment of care compliance, emergency management and communications. The onsite nurse manager provides real-time information to Primary Care Nursing and hospital leadership regarding onsite events, risks and occurrences which may impact clinic operations and patient care. The nurse manager also assists with the development and implementation of performance improvement plans and action plans as well as the outcomes of these plans related to SAIL, HEDIS, the Veteran Experience and PACT. Preferred Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience with progressive leadership experience, including 3 years nurse management experience. Master's degree in Nursing or a related field. Previous Primary Care or outpatient experience. Telephone Triage. Reporting Structure: Chief Nurse, Primary Care Service Line. Travel: Occasional pre-planned travel to Medical Center and surrounding clinics for training and/or emergent coverage needs.
