JOB SUMMARYThe ECMO Specialist RN works effectively with members of the healthcare team in the provision of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). Responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the ECMO program. The scope of patient care includes neonatal to adult patients. Will assist with liaison relationship between Nursing, Department Managers and Directors, Physicians and Hospital Administration.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEManages ECMO therapy during regularly scheduled shifts.Routinely primes techno circuits and facilitates the initiation of ECMO therapy.
