Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385 bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative , patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Cardiac Cath Lab is accountable for the supervision and delivery of invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular imaging services. The Director develops, oversees, and evaluates the overall continuum of care for cardiology cardiovascular services programs. The Director is responsible for the management of personnel, participation in budget planning and control, and development of process improvement programs. Effectively coordinates services within the cardiovascular department with hospital and information system services activities. Develops and implements strategies to enhance the market and financial position of cardiovascular services.
The Department Director works directly with section supervisors and managers for participation in strategic planning for Cardiovascular Imaging Services and works to develop and maintain interdisciplinary relationship between all levels of personnel in cardiovascular imaging as well as the institution as a whole. In collaboration with DRMC directors, medical directors, and physicians; develops implements, manages, and maintains the unit�s philosophy and goals and objectives, which are consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of DRMC.
Equally importantly is the incumbent�s adherence to, and promulgation of, the fundamental �Values� of DRMC. The successful incumbent is expected to administer their operational responsibilities in accordance with the This should be consistent with the new Tenet Values and the acronym CARE
Qualifications:� Bachelor�s Degree in Nursing from an accredited professional nursing program
� Current RN licensure in the State of California
� Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintain current at all times).
� Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (maintain current at all times)
� Minimum of 5 years Cath Lab experience
� Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills.
� Demonstrated ability to present self in positive and professional manner.
� Previous management experience
� Effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people on all levels and able to maintain positive working relationships with parents, families, and co-workers
� Analytical ability to identify opportunities for improvement and resolution.
� Teaching skills to promote optimum orientation and continuing education of imaging staff on all levels; nursing, technologists, clerical staff and physicians
� Must possess current knowledge in healthcare trends for both the inpatient and outpatient population
