Position Information:
The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III of WakeMed Neurodiagnostics provides neurological services to inpatients and outpatients of population ranging from infancy to geriatrics. Services are completed upon the written prescription of a physician and according to staff rotation in designated areas of the labs. Staff competencies are completed prior to neurological staff performing neurodiagnostic testing of infants, children and adult patients. Neurological services are completed through the application of acquired knowledge, skills and use of specialized electronic instrumentation. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III will work a flexible schedule and participate in the department on-call schedule. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III will participate in quality assurance and other performance improvement projects.

Experience Requirements:
4 Years Related Position Experience In Clinical - Surgical Services Required

Education Required:
Associate's Degree Neurodiagnostics Or Related Field Required - And Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring Required - And Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist Preferred - Or Registered Evoked Potential Technologist Preferred - Or Certified Long Term Monitoring Preferred - Or Certified Nerve Conduction Studies Technologist Preferred - Or Registered Nerve Conduction Studies Technologist Preferred

Hours of Work:
Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

Weekend Requirements:
No Weekends

Call Requirements:
Every 5th week
