Responsibilities
Maplewood Surgery Center is actively hiring for a PRN/pool, Registered Nurse (RN) PACU. The PRN/pool schedule does require availability of at least 4 shifts per month. Registered Nurse (RN) PACU Responsibilities:
Assesspatient status throughout the episode of care
Develop an individualizedperianesthesiaplan of careby implementing:
Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patientâ™s condition and response to care.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) PACU Requirements:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
One year ofPACUexperience preferred.
Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
BLS and ACLS required, PALS required within 90 days of hire
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Physically demanding, high-stress environment
Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions
Pushing and pulling heavy objects
Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patientsandequipment
Manual and finger dexterity
Hand eye coordination
Standing and walking for extensive periods of time
Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50lbs
Corrected vision and hearing to within normal range
