Schedule: Full Time 7:00pm – 7:00am
The community you’ll be caring for: Orange City is part of a larger metropolitan area comprised of Deltona, Daytona Beach, and Ormond Beach. Though not right on the coast, it does offer easy access to the beach and many state parks where nature lovers can enjoy swimming, hiking, canoeing, and watching wildlife. Nearby Deltona is a mostly residential community with a cost of living that is 15 percent lower than the national average. It’s convenient location near Orlando means that within a half-hour drive, you can attend live concerts and sporting events, visit theme parks, or indulge in world-class shopping and dining.
The role you’ll contribute:
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered professional nurse who supports the Nurse Manager in overall operations of their assigned unit. The ANM Is able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services to our patient population. The ANM assures quality of care is delivered to our patients and accepts a patient workload when needed. Is supportive of change activities on their unit and works to assure implementation of change that may occur. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Monitors performance of the staff and reports findings to the nurse manager or takes corrective action for improvement as appropriate.
Actively participates in the interview process/application selection.

Performance Improvement - Demonstrates familiarity with the performance improvement model of the organization.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school required
Current Florida Registered Nurse license or license eligible required
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Previous Nurse Management experience in an acute care setting
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills strongly preferred.
Computer experience strongly preferred.
