Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Urologic Oncology team.

Unit/Position Summary

We perform in clinic procedures, biopsies, and bladder instilled chemotherapy/biotherapy. This RN will have the opportunity to cross train to multiple roles within the clinic. We are looking for a dynamic new team member who loves to learn and is patient centered. The team has a great culture!
The RN is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. In this role, the RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient's needs, as well as coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed.
This is a part-time position, 0.4 FTE, Day shift. The Cancer Institute is closed on weekends. We look forward to meeting you!
Responsibilities
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments
- Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions
- Manages care of patients
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery
- Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Nursing Degree
- One (1) + years' RN experience
- Oncology and/or Surgery experience highly preferred
- Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
