RN Registered Nurse – Telemetry Care Unit – 8 West - Penn State Health Holy Spirit

The Telemetry Care 8 West unit is a 29 bed progressive care cardiopulmonary telemetry unit, serving the adult population with medically acute diagnosis. We are the only non-ICU unit in the hospital with the capability of caring for patients who are mechanically vented. We are the unit of choice for heart failure, sepsis, respiratory compromised situations requiring CPAP/Bipap, high flow oxygenation as well as multisystem compromised patients. We are trained in caring for complex IV drips requiring telemetry monitoring as well as general medicine cases such as renal failure and acute on chronic illnesses.
The RN Registered Nurse assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Â
Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by State of employmentÂ
AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Six months RN experience preferred
