The Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN II will provide direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of a registered nurse of provider. The LPN II will observe, report and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record. The LPN II will instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans. The LPN II will communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care.
The 5 Acute Care (Surgical) Unit is a 47-bed acute care unit where nurses care for patients from a variety of medical and surgical specialties. Medical specialties include gastroenterology, bariatrics, hematology/oncology and gynecology oncology. Surgical specialties include colon and rectal, emergency general surgery, bariatric, transplant, neurosurgery and surgical oncology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
LPN License to practice in the state of employment or eligible for licensure in state of employment.Â
One (1) year of LPN experience.Â
Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.
