The NP is an experienced member of the health care team who uses advanced practice skill to provide comprehensive health care services to patients. The Nurse Practitioner engages in independent decision making about health care needs and provides health care services to individuals throughout their life span. Provides physical and psychological health assessments, patient education and counseling, orders and interprets diagnostic procedures, and manages acute and chronic disease conditions ensuring continuity of care for individuals in the communities served.
University of Minnesota Physicians seeks a Certified Nurse Practitioner to join The M Health Nurse Practitioner's Clinics. In this role, you will provide primary care for patients at the DNP Clinic downtown. We are looking for a Family Nurse Practitioner to deliver primary care to patients of all ages and backgrounds working among a team of Nurse Practitioners. This position presents a unique opportunity to join the only nurse-led clinic in the M Health System. You will also work in conjunction with the School of Nursing and are academically focused. We are proud to provide precepting opportunities to students who attend the University of MN School of Nursing.
In This Role, You Will:
This position will be a part-time, 0.8 FTE and is eligible for our full-time benefits package, including a parking stipend. The Nurse Practitioners Clinic is located right off 35W and is one block from the light rail.
This opportunity will also require the provider to devote 1 day/week at our RS Eden location.

We're Looking For an NP Who Is:
- A graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Eligible or is certified through ANCC or AANP.
- Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's).
- Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
