JOB SUMMARY:Â
Responsible for participating with the Obstetrical Surgery Team in an individualized patient care plan based on assessed needs, standard of care, instrumentation/supplies, and physician preferences in order to provide surgical assistance during obstetrical cases. Provides applicable licensed practical nursing care for patients in the Women's Health Unit.Â
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
One (1) year of LPN experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required prior to the completion of orientation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Strong interpersonal, effective listening, and needs anticipation skills preferred.Â
Adequate skills in handling instruments/equipment preferred.Â
Knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, and supplies preferred.Â
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS*:Â
Able to stand & sit constantly; walk frequently.Â
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs. frequently; 11-50 lbs. occasionally.Â
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs. frequently; 21-75 lbs. occasionally.Â
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.Â
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.Â
