Under the supervision of a registered nurse, performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals in the operating room, primarily in the scrub role during surgical procedures. May perform similar duties in other areas of the hospital as assigned.Â
QualificationsMinimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent successful completion of approved school of surgical technology. A minimum of 1 year of hospital experience is PREFERRED. On- going certification with Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and/or National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
Or if non-certified, must complete certification within 90 days of hire to receive/keep your certified pay rate. If the certification is not obtained within 90 days of hire, the pay rate will be changed to non-certified.
