Lehigh Valley Health Network located in Allentown, PA is currently expanding our psychiatry department. This is a great career opportunity for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Job Description:
- Location: Allentown, PA- LVHN Adult and Pediatric Psychiatry Outpatient Practice across the street from Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest
- Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 am - 5 pm, new patient appointments are 60 minutes, follow up appointments are 30 minutes. 7 hours of patient facing in an 8 hour day.
- Call: One weekend call per month with two give back days.
- Patient population: children and adults, would include assisting individuals with depression, bipolar & anxiety.
- The team is open to experienced APCs and new graduates. New APCs at LVHN rotate on the inpatient unit first to understand their weekend role and then transition to outpatient care. For new graduates out of school, this process takes 2-3 months. New graduates primarily focus on adults.
- We provide a full continuum of care in behavioral health from emergency evaluation to intensive care, partial hospitalization, outpatient follow-up, homecare and skilled nursing facility consultation. We are growing the Department of Psychiatry which currently comprises more than 40+ Psychiatrists and 120 mental health professionals.
Job Qualifications:
- A network champion for Psychiatry and a passion for the clinical work
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
- A current PA Medical License or ability to obtain one is required
