JOB SUMMARY:Â
Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a clinical nurse expert for the Clinical Practice Nurse Leader position to join our multi-disciplinary unit.Â
The Clinical Practice Nurse Leader is responsible to function as a member of a multi- disciplinary, unit based team to provide nursing expertise for a defined microsystem. This RN clinical expert will collaborate in staff and patient education activities. The CPNL will lead patient care initiatives that are evidence-based and patient-family centered. The CPNL will identify, interpret and spearhead the implementation of appropriate policies and procedures, clinical decision tools, data collection tools, national clinical care guidelines, literature and research to promote standard and evidence-based practice.Â
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Â
Master's Degree in Nursing requiredÂ
5 years of clinical experience in area of expertiseÂ
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Â
Academic Medical Center experience and knowledge of Magnet institutionsÂ
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Â
Excellent collaboration and consultation skills requiredÂ
Must be familiar with process redesignÂ
Excellent communication and teamwork skills requiredÂ
