We are seeking a CLINICAL NURSE II in our Duke Fertility Center located in Morrisville to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.
Job Duties:
Patient care responsibilities - rooming patients, collecting histories, and charting, ensuring medications are up to date and all information is correct prior to visit.
Provide care in recovery/procedure area per provider orders.
Fulfills EOC requirements daily including safety for staff and patients
Medication administration and education for patients
Assist with bedside procedures and chaperoning sensitive exams as well as completing nursing assessments
Performs Nurse triage, in-basket communications, patient history questionnaire review, and lab review
Acts as clinical liaison between patients, clinical and clerical teams.
Adhere to professional standard, policies, procedures, EOC, JCAHO, and Infection control.
Delegate tasks and supervise activities for other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Rotating weekend requirement, no more than one weekend per month.
Job Eligibility Requirements:
Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.
Work requires one year of registered nursing (RN) experience.
Job Schedule:
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, day shift. Rotating weekend requirement, no more than one weekend per month.
