Phoenix Children’s has an immediate need for a clinical nurse to support two of our clinic locations, the Thomas Campus, and the Arrowhead Campus! In this role, you will be working closely with patients, parents/caregivers, and other medical professionals to help in the care of our patients who have chronic gastro problems. Incumbent will be primarily managing a variety of tasks, from triaging patients who call into the clinic; managing an inbox of email correspondence from patients/families; care coordination with other medical specialties, communicating between the patients, and providers; coordinating testing/lab work, etc. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience as a nurse either in a clinic or hospital setting. Incumbent must have outstanding multitasking skills, demonstrated communication skills, ability to work in a very close knit team environment. Incumbent will be trained in all areas of the role, in order to provide coverage for colleagues when they are out of the office. Incumbent will spend 1/2 the week at the Thomas location, and the balance of the time working at our Arrowhead clinic!!! This position is FULL TIME, M - F, 8 AM - 5 PM, with NO weekends, NO holidays, and NO call!!!
This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Education
Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Experience
Pediatric experience. (Preferred)
Certifications
Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
