The Nurse Practitioner's (NP) role is patient optimization and risk stratification in preparation for surgery. This is accomplished by chart review, obtaining a history and physical exam, performing an anesthetic risk assessment, and making adjustments in their medical plan of care. Basic Requirements Education: A post-master's certificate or master's or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner. (Applicants pending the completion of educational requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until the education requirements are met.)
