1. Assists the Nurse Manager in assessment, skill proficiency evaluation, equipment and supply management, patient satisfaction initiatives, staffing and scheduling.
2. Supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing the unit.
3. Assists with the management of personnel processes, including but not limited to hiring, training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
4. Participates in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
5. Ensures compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
6. Effectively communicates information to staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
7. Assists the Nurse Manager in making timely decisions and managing change processes.
8. Collaborates with all departments as part of the management team.
9. Utilizes a personal cell phone for business purposes.

• Acute care nursing experience (3-5 years preferred) in similar clinical specialty
• Charge Nurse, Coordinator or supervisory experience a plus

• Experience in hospital or acute care setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and team members.
• Ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
• Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.

Essential

*RN license

*Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)

*Advanced Cardiac Life Saving (ACLS) certification

*NIH Stroke Certification

Essential:

• BSN in Nursing or RN diploma/RN graduate program with Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Active pursuit of MSN if not possessing a BSN
