Secretarial Duties: Including but not limited to answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling/registering patients, checking patients in/out during dept visits, supply inventory and ordering, restocking supplies, supply procurement, preparing and maintaining patient charts, filing as needed, EPIC use. Other duties as assigned by nurse manager.

Patient Care Technician Duties: As directed by RN, including but not limited to, obtaining and recording vital signs, glucometer testing, cleaning exam and changing rooms after patient visits, setting up exam and changing rooms before patient visits, providing basic wound care (removal/application of dressings, wound/skin cleansing), transportation of patients to/from department, transportation of specimens from wound center to lab, cleaning & disinfecting equipment, and assisting with patient mobility. Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care within the wound healing and hyperbaric department. EPIC use. Other duties as assigned by nurse manager.

The Sec/Tech candidate:

• Is patient-focused and flexible, willing to pitch in as needed and assist with patient care and transportation as needed to meet patient and department needs.
• Is flexible to adjust hours to meet the needs of the department (potential for evenings/weekends in the future).
• Has strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Has the ability to operate as part of a team, alongside providers and nurses
• Must be proficient at coordination and organization of administrative duties to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of patient flow.
• Ensures patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
• Must promote the Atlantic Health System PRIDE Values.
