JOB SUMMARY: The Harris Health System Bed Management Coordinator (BMC) is responsible for working with the Harris Health System Patient Throughput Manager to independently manage the bed utilization process. The BMC collaborates with nursing and support services to ensure appropriate patient placement consistent with patient needs and ongoing hospital activities. The BMC monitors discharges and is responsible for notifying the Patient Throughput Manager or designee when bed availability reaches critical levels or potential area-specific bottlenecks occur.
