The OB Nurse Navigator (OBNN) coordinates patient care before and after delivery for patients in Harris Health's Maternal Opioid Misuse Program. The OBNN provides individualized support to patients serving as their resource and advocate. The OBNN collaborates with Patient Education, Women and Infants, Ambulatory Care Clinics and other departments throughout Harris Health System along with community partners and ensures that women have full, equitable and convenient access to the clinical services they require and to the women-sensitive health education information needed to make informed decisions about their care.The OBNN participates in quality improvement, research processes/utilization and community activities.
