WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to provide a combination of Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care or Family Medicine and join our team located at Franciscan ExpressCare Michigan City in Michigan City, IN.
WHAT WE NEED:
The ideal candidate will have experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care or Family Medicine. Candidate will have ACLS/BLS certifications and will be able to see all patient types. Must be certified/willing to become certified to conduct US Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals by the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME).
Ideal candidate should be proficient in:
Reading basic x-rays of all body parts
Laceration repair/wound care
Initial ECG interpretation
Willing to obtain DOT certification
Urgent evaluation and treatment of potentially critically ill patients and the appropriate transport of these patients to the closest Emergency Room Department
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday - Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Flexible full-time schedule
No Call Expectation
Average outpatient volume: 30+ patients per shift, depending on season

Exposures
Lacerations
Musculoskeletal injuries
Pre-employment, DOT, and Non-DOT physicals
Sprain and Strains
Suturing, willing to learn

Master's Degree - Required
Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - Required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
